Review: Josh Groban : THE PRAYER

The song is ecstatic. Magnificently sung by Josh Groban and Charlotte Church. Ms. Church willingly gave out a powerful falsetto and it was brilliant. Mr. Groban on the other hand has this perfect aura and baritone voice that gave justice to how A. Bocelli sang the song. His magnetic voice is powerful and convincing and he hits the notes perfectly. This enchanting songs is so good to the heart that I've listened to it over and over again.
I can still remember, during our last day in the review center, we have had a very healthy and heart warming "last-review-night-event" ended up 'til 12 midnight just to enjoy that affair and as the event started, two of our classmates sang this song in a very powerful manner.
I even cried as the song ended. it was so powerful that the crowd went off silence and i can see tears from every one's eyes. we were all tired of the long months of reviewing and one powerful exam will change our everything.
that exam was now done and i am presently waiting for the result and it will be soon. i kept my fingers crossed and prayed a lil bit more harder.
my favorite line would be: "lead us to a place, guide us with Your Grace, to a place where we'll be safe" --- true enough, in my deepest sorrow, when i felt hope is gone and confusions obviously seen; where self control is unbearable and strength is almost lost, it was Him whom i gave my everything. as i prayed deeply that night before the exam, i asked him to guide me all through out. and i believed that in Him, everything will be alright.
i will leave you with this lyrics and song of Josh and Charlotte. and i hope, like me, you will also be touched by the lyrics and the song and the powerful voice and the message the song has.

THE PRAYER BY JOSH GROBAN & CHARLOTTE CHURCH

Review: Jimi West : I love you but its over

"isn't that enough? thats is all i've got. i gave up everything for you. it isn't easy to say, but i have to decide someday and now the day is here, i have to face my fear, i love you but its over"

this line hits like a rock as i continued listening to the song entitled I LOVE YOU BUT ITS OVER by Jimi West, a renowned independent artist that hailed from Japan, a Filipino by genes and by heart, Jimi has this soothing voice and a romantic - soul jives that makes the song more lovely to the ears.
Jimi has proven himself in quite a number of events in Japan and is considered as the top artist in both soul and acoustic genre.
this song, I LOVE YOU BUT ITS OVER is something romantic and talks about how a guy could possibly love girl to the extremes and yet found him self giving up since he feels like everything isn't enough for the girl. and though he didn't want to, he feels like he has no choice, even ends up asking himself what went wrong and just couldn't find the exact reason.
the song can break a man's heart --- even a girl. and i know, from the looks of the song you don't want to be caught dead and unguarded with the same situation where you have no choice but to bid goodbye to the one you love.
so i encourage you guys to listen to this song and download it to your heart and not merely in your PC, appreciate the beauty of music from our own blood.

you can reach JIMI WEST through this site: www.myspace.cm/jimiwest22

ENJOY THE SONG GUYS :)

Beyond Each Smile

it was one cold night and i was sleeping soundly at my sister's bed when about 5 o'clock in the morning, i heard my phone rang. it was a familiar tune that made my whole body system awake. i knew who the caller was. it was him.
it was a short talk that started and ended with: "nangungumusta lang". it was one friendly yet heart-warming call that made my heart skip a beat. it was one peep talk that made me wanna freeze time and just save that chance for that one special moment.
then he said he is sick and is presently at the hospital getting treatments. i was speechless for a moment or two and i was caught off guard. what went wrong i asked, the next thing i knew, i was in tears. he told me to stop crying for he will be okay, even said that he once went through the same situation and he survived, God knows he still will this time and i believed him. he is a strong man after all, always brave and ready to conquer life's great challenges.
behind the laughters lies a wounded and tired soul. tired of the battles that seemed endless for him. the jokes are just front to hide the real emotions that are burning inside him. he kept on telling me that he hates drinking medicines and is tired of the seemingly endless treatments and kept on saying that if it is his time, no one can stop that. not even the doctors or the medicines.
as the emotion grew stronger. i was there, feeling so helpless. what can i say? nursing school taught me to give out empathy and never sympathy. i am lost for words as i struggle not to sound so emotionally hooked. i know i looked so dumb and pretty stupid as i talk to him. but that was it.
he sang a 3 line song then the call ended. my tears seemed endless. i closed my eyes and prayed hard. even made a bargain to God, that if ever He cures him, i can surrender my license. then for a while, i stopped and said, okay God, the bargain is off --- i need my license so that i can come and be with him where ever he is and just stay with him for a while and help him with his needs and nurse him. then i sigh deeply.
i prayed deeply --- and i gave up everything to God. i know He wont gave him burden he cannot carry. God will always provide i believe. he has the faith, he has the will, he needs hope to carry on with his struggles.
i cried because i dont know how and what to feel. he is alone and he is far. miles away from his family, struggling to stay alive, keeping to be strong in a battle between life and death.
i never appreciated a small peep talk the way i do now. it was simple, short but sincere. it is more of heart talking than minds.
by the way it looks now? we are friends. just friends. no extra something. no extra spark. no extra fancy thing. just platonic friendship (at least for him). all i know is that 2 years ago, he was special and nothing has changed now that he knew how i really feel for him.
2 years ago? i loved him deep and silently. i still do now. even more than the emotions i have had for him 2 years ago.
if anyone could read this, please pray for him. he is my friend. he is sick and he needs our prayer. God will listen and God will always provide. God will heal him.

When Small Things Makes Big Difference

i have been staring on this page for quite a moment now. wondering where to begin and somehow loosing the grip of thinking. i am still on the process of evaluating things i as started pressing the keys on my keyboard.
been a little drunk last night. i drunk all the way through a number of glasses of punch with rhum which ate Jing made. she also made a leche plan --- that looks a lil more like a pudding since it was over cooked. but taste like a leche plan still and we have had a good laugh while discussing the "thing" why it went the wrong way. my brother's came along to eat dinner and fix some manly things in the kitchen. things that i cannot do since i dont know nothing about electricity and "manly" works. my Kuya Lando works miraculously on simple things like that. my Kuya Ninoy knows something about it too, but prefers Kuya Lando doing it. He better sit there and joke around and making things a little bit lighter for all of us. making us all laugh 'til our tummy aches like hell. i on the other hand made out dinner, ginataang monggo. taste good on the tummy since i so love food that has coconut milk on it.
it was a fun and joyous thing to realize that when simple things like this happens, it brought smile on out tiny lil faces. gatherings like this, though not so big, meant a lot to our nanay.
having a simple yet decent food and eating together as family of one is priceless. these are the moments where we bind as a family and we laugh together as one. these are the priceless moments we spend good life with. these are the true laughters that we seldom have. priceless moments that cannot be bought in the market.
we are just like them. like all of those who at one way or another believed that life is special and life is good and is worth living.
you? when was the last time you sat on your dinning table, shared one glass of water with your brother and sisters, nephew and nieces and just laughed all the way down til sun down?
when was the last time you had a fair dinner with your mother and cooked dinner for her and ends up having criticized because your garlic isn't fried enough?
when simple things makes a big difference and the path you chose leads you to be far from your family. so ill ask: when was the last time you had a real family dinner, ate with much gusto and laughed whole heartedly?

If I Could

if i could have one thing in this life time,
i would want someone ---
someone who wont live me hanging.

it always ended like a long road to travel
an endless destination that leads to nowhere
a question of which to choose between the two
the fog of dark night and its hue

if i could have one thing in this life time,
i would choose a better me ---
a simple yet better me.

as the end of the road started to look dim
and the search for truth and its full cream
i still want someone to see me as i hit the roads end
the broken heart will then be mend

if i could have one thing in this life time,
i would choose to learn how to smile again
a smile deep from my soul

as it all ends with a grand illusion
an illusion that i have found that someone
it was an illusion ---
just an illusion.

Fish On The Aquarium

it was one weird chance that i could not possibly resist. to analyze and reflect on things. to visualize things like i've never done it before.
someone told me that instead of using the word : we or us, we should focus on the "i" part of life. in every aspect of life, i tried to reflect and see things in different manner. but this one is a bit more different. this one is lil bit more intense and a lil bit more mature.
let me start with this thought: human as we are, we commit mistakes. thats a fact every one should try to accept. most often than not, i commit mistakes. loads of them actually, i commit different mistakes on different occasions. the same old mistakes all over again and i thought i learned something on it, but lil did i notice that i did not.
it was a simple analogy, as he stated it, that made me realize how bad person i have become for the past years of my life. treated life as if it was perfectly suited for me, tried to live a life that binds no boundaries.
he said: "kung ang isang baso na puno ng tubig, eh lalagyan mo ulit ng tubig, ano ang mangyayari? diba aapaw? kung sa tao pa, kung ang tubig ay knowledge, at ang baso ay ang tao, at pag ang isang tao ay puno at sarado na, sa palagay mo ba magiging open sya sa ibang ideas? opinions? suggestions? ang sagot ay hindi. so paano mo malalagyan ng tubig ang isang basong puno? eventually, you would empty the glass first before mo malagyan ng tubig ulit. bottom line is: if one wants to develop him/herself to become a better person, then one has to opened and empty him/herself".
word by word, line by line, it hits even better. and after listening (reading) to all this, i have come to my senses and realize things in a wider perspective. most often than not, i become so idealistic about some facts in life, the wanting of a perfect and ideal family is a part of it.
just like what happened to my sister and her case made me so frustrated. i failed to realize that human as she is, she is capable of doing mistakes and she also has a need. a need to feel love and wanted. the need to belong and to be cherished. she is married but not that happy. i now understand her that she is a woman who needs a man to be beside her in all the down fall in her life. i failed to realize that she cannot have all this because someone is too busy looking for money and failed to realize that he has a wife who needs him more than his money. a wife who needs his presence more than anything else. a wife who needs him physically more than just a minute of phone call. someone to hug and someone to cry on in the midst of everything.
and that husband wasnt there when she was pregnant or when she gave birth to their first son. he wasnt there when her father died. he wasnt there when her son is sick and is bought to the hospital to be treated. he wasnt there. as a woman, as a married woman, he wasnt there when she needed him most. when she took the local board, he wasnt there. he was no where to be found in the midst of distress and trouble. he wasnt there when the world turns their back on her. he wasnt there.
and someone has to fill that missing lil piece of her old self and she found that special feeling through someone who could give his time and spent it with her through simple jokes and simple chit chats. its not about her being involve with someone else. its her being just her.
i failed to see all this things because i was too busy dealing with all my ideals. i was so frustrated with the anxieties brought by the in coming local board that i failed to notice that i wasnt becoming logically correct. i failed to analyze this because i have closed my heart and mind with the reasons.
i was so into ideals and perfections that i didnt even noticed that i am just human too. that all this things she went through could possibly happen to me if im not careful enough. i always thought i am right and i stick to what is ideal, but failed to accept the fact that i wasnt really that ideal after all. and just like that glass full of water, the visions of perfections blinded me. my heart and mind was closed that i failed to accept anything.
i simply reflected about this facts because someone has slapped me with the truth through a simple analogy. as he stated: theres a room for change, and if it happens that you might try to change, change for the better.
to her: im sorry i failed to see this earlier. im sorry that i loved you with all the love there is in me that i failed to understand you a lil more better. im sorry i judged you easily that i failed to accept that human as you are, you commit mistakes and im sorry for all the things i said. it wasnt me talking. its the ideal jet2 talking thre, and since theres still room for change here, i guess it would be right too if i say sorry to the other person who's involve with this. for all the nasty words and all the hatred. im sorry.
just like what i said to him, change doesnt just happen over night. it will be a day to day learning for me. a day to day reflections. a day to day basis. i will just take things slowly and one day at a time. because at first, it was hard for me to understand what he said, its hard for me to accept everything that he said, i was confused and i was locked up with my thoughts. not until i decided that i have the need to open my mind and explore my visions and horizons a lil more wider.
life isnt just about what is perfect and what is ideal, and i am now, with total honesty, is having hard time breaking my ideals and suppressing what i think is right. because my ideals wouldnt fit everyone's ideals. what is perfect for me isnt perfect for someone else. and perfection, as he stated, is just a mind matter. and i would agree with him with that fact. we are imperfect.
all i needed all along is someone with the wrist of iron, an unbiased mind, a logical truth that binds reason and love. certainty and confidence. a certain someone who could turn my world in a 360 angle and allowed me to view other things in a different manner.
and just like a weary fish in an aquarium, seeing my reflection on the glass isnt that easy. alone and all, i even thought i can conquer the world as it is. i was able to see it but failed to address the truth with passion. saw it but didnt see it more deeper. i was trapped with the usual that i failed to look closer. a soul trapped with my ideals that i failed to understand the norms. a lost soul in depth with so much thoughts.

Confused Again

we used to talk
laugh
joke
then it ended there.
he was gone and no where to be found
i unknowingly nourished something extra special,
a certain friendship that meant a lot
more than a year passed and we've met again
he's such a snob person -- even before
but i liked him that way
i never dared say HI or HELLO
the thought of rejection makes me sick.
so one silent dawn
we started talking again
and laughed
and joked around
then im starting to like him even more
much more than what i felt before
it was a silent feeling that i never dared entertain
the night we talked
it seemed endless
it is so real
full of extra something --- that i couldn't even define
for 2 straight days --- we talked as if theres no tomorrow
and the emotions are at risk
i tried to control it
and tried to be as honest as i could possibly be
i was vocal about the idea of liking him
said, he likes me too
and im cool with that.
one night --- he was gone
and im left here alone
wondering what went wrong
its 3am on my watch and im still waiting
but there nothing
as i end this --- theres only one thing on my thoughts
to suppress the emotions while its still early
i dont want to be caught off guard
and end up feeling lost and broke
through suppression
i will be whole again, act as if it didnt hurt at all
now that he's nowhere to be found again
whats next?
and im so damn confused
