Dreaming Big

this is why i hated yahoo the most.
an hour or two ago, i was writing this very nice article about my dreams when i was young. imagine my surprise when i posted that on my 360 and it didn't show up?
waaaa... it was like heaven and earth cursed me.
i so hate it when that happens.
it was a nice article and i have been thinking about that for the past weeks.
and it all ended just like that.
gosh! what about my effort?
didn't yahoo ever thought of that?
then i started thinking about not writing anything at all...
God! how the heck can i revive that lost article?
i wanted to shout but i can't.
i might look stupid.
hahaha...
so here i am again.
writing this on my email.
not in friendster.
not in 360.
so where will i start now?
i lost tract.
now i am having hard time.
God forbid. but i want to commit suicide for my being stupid.
for loosing that article that took me weeks to think.
oh well...
there's no use crying over spilled milk, as the old saying goes.
but Jesus! thats not a spilled for Christ sake.
thats one heck of an article.
one of my precious articles.
so here now... i don't know if i will write this a good as i wrote the lost one.
where did it all started?
from a dream.
when i was young, i used to dream big.
big. as in literally.
i walked down in that stage with my head full of pride saying:
when i grow up, i want to be a doctor.
i was on my kinder years.
years passed and my perception changed.
i was grade 5 when i got fascinated by Lawyers i saw on television.
then and there i thought, i wanted to be just like them.
so when people ask me, what will u be 10 years from now, i would proudly say:
i will be a lawyer 10 years from now.
a good and brilliant Lawyer.
there's this one incident when i was in high school,
a friend asked me:
"what would be your preparatory course before taking Law?"
and i thought: is that necessary?
i started asking some ideas from my friends.
one of them said that her mom is an accountant and her mom said she would also take up the same course when she reach college.
then i thought: why not? an accountant. hmmm... sound nice.
a CPA-Lawyer.
sound nice right? a perfect combination.
what pushed me to pursue my dream being lawyer someday?
its the fact that i often watch Ally Mcbeal (spelling check?!?**)
i so loved watching that hit series on tv.
Ally is intelligent and brilliant in his craft.
she stands out in the crowd with her very mini skirt
and she is really confident.
at the end of the series, she became a partner of the firm she worked.
i will be someday just like that.
a will put up a Law Firm.
Just like Ally.
so tv series are fun to watch.
so who could forget JAG?
hmm... i like that too.
i used to watch that then.
those lawyers in uniform.
i dreamed of being just like that when i grew up.
i want to work for the Air Force.
I'll be in Uncle Sam's territory by then.
isn't that nice?
a CPA-Lawyer working for the Air Force.
i dreamed of flying that gigantic jets.
hahaha... isn't that cool?
as i wrote this, i asked myself:
what pushes me to write?
who is my greatest influence?
hmmm...
think... think... think...
don't laugh ok?
i will tell you.
i know i can never be as good as JK Rowling
my forte was never to make a magical / sci-fi "thing"
my influence would be CARRIE BRADSHAW
sounds familiar? hmmm...
think about Prada.. Manolo... Dolce & Gabana...
hahaha... ok.
so Carrie is my influence.
Sex and the City.
i always watch Sex & the City when i was a lil bit young.
i so loved how Carrie talks about her life.
i took my way of writing from her.
i write what my heart desires.
i let my mind coordinates with my hands.
i write everything that comes in my mind.
just like Carrie.
though i never thought i would someday end up just like her.
but i wish i can write and have it posted on a news paper.
i wish. i dream.
when i was young (up to now) i always do day dreaming.
i can vividly imagine how big my house will be in the near future, how many cars will i buy. how many mango trees will be planted on my back yard and some fruit bearing trees.
i dreamed of a big house. my house will look like this:
upon entering into my dream house, the first you'll notice is the color.
it would all be cream with some yellow on the ceiling. the roof would be be ocean blue. you will see a spacious lawn and front yard.
a basketball court for my nephews. surrounding a bashful of flowers. upon entering into my dream house, you will see that nice chandelier up on the ceiling, under that would be a nice white sofa and a wall decorated with nice old antiques paintings. on the left side would be my library / mini office. adjacent to that is the wine bar and a kitchen. a nook would be nice too. fronting the sofa would be the stairs leading to the entertainment room, a guest room, the masters bed room and 4 extra rooms for my sisters and for family use and a terrace. i wished of having 2 cars. one for my own. and the other for family gathering purposes. i wished to own a CRV, then i thought, when time comes that i will fulfill my dreams, CRV would be out in the market, so i guess, an F150 would be very funky.
what made me dream this high?
hmmm... think about it.
dreaming is for free. so when you dream, dream big.
and make that dream a goal to fulfill.
though i never took up accountancy in college and took nursing instead, i guess i can still fulfill my dream of being a lawyer. i will be a lawyer someday. i still want to continue studying and pursuing that dream would be a great fulfillment.
maybe this dreams made me what i am today.
a strong willed and hard headed woman.
this dreams are the reason why "marriage" is not on the list of my priorities.
i am still giving my self an ample of time to think things over, explore my horizons and love what i am doing and seek for new options.
what about you? when was the last time you dream of something big?
when was the last time you wished for yourself?
do something for yourself? and not for others?
when was the last time you made that dream a goal to fulfill?
dreams are after all for free.
so dream big!
think... think... think...
